Explore the Shamanic power of Poetry with Bill Lewis (The Shaman Poet)
Poet Bill Lewis & his Translator Rafael Peñas Cruz will present their bilingual English/Spanish anthology of Bill´s work. He was born in Maidstone, in the county of Kent, on the first of August 1953. He is an English artist, storyteller, poet and mythographer. He was a founder-member of The Medway Poets and, later, also a member of the Stuckists art group. Bill has continued to develop a language beyond that primeval explosion, writing a corpus of poetry that deals with the modern world from the point of view of a working-class poet who mixes mythologies old and new to interpret modern Britain and the world beyond.
Bill will be interviewed by Rafael and reading in English from his new book, Rafael will be reading in Spanish, drinks and snacks will be served and there will be a signing. Whilst it is free, places are limited and we do request you buy a 3€ voucher, redeemable at the event.
