Being a Goddess of Fate does not make you master of it. Author Rosie Garland talks about her new book, and about much more.

Rosie Garland presents “The Fates”, launched on the 9th April 2024! You’ve heard the legends, now hear their truth… Before Gods and mortals, there were The Fates –destined to weave the lives and deaths of humankind for eternity. But immortality is a heavy burden, and Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos are captivated by the gloriously human lives of the mortals below. However, being a Goddess of Fate doesn’t make you a master of it. Can these three sisters free themselves from their destinies? Or will they be bound by Fate forever?

Based in Manchester UK, Rosie Garland writes fiction, poetry, and sings with post-punk band The March Violets.

Rosie is the author of three historical novels: ‘The Palace of Curiosities’, ‘Vixen’ and ‘The Night Brother’ (Borough Press). ‘The Night Brother’ was described by The Times as “a delight…with shades of Angela Carter.”

Val McDermid has named her one of the most compelling writers in the UK today. Find out more at The evening will start with a chat with readings, followed by a Q&A and book-signing and refreshments. Whilst the event is free, places are limited. Please reserve, and if you cannot make it, unreserve so others can attend.
